Another Months Issue…and another amazing shoot!
www.emmaheaven.com November 2015
I’m sure most of you would have read this amazing online mag before…if not, you need to! Only a few months in from the launch and already thousands are hooked! In short, Emma is a real life fashion guru, genius stylist, body shape expert the list goes on; but best of all she’s a real woman! Each issue touches on Emma’s styling secrets, her beauty and fashion finds (always worth knowing) and her tips on how to feel and look amazing! With columns from people in all different fields (including one from yours truly), amazing photo shoots and videos and reviews on local beauty treatments, shopping finds, restaurants etc… its definitely a one stop lifestyle shop!
Every month I have the pleasure of being Emma’s Makeup artist for the very quirky and individually styled photo shoots which are the feature of the month. This month didn’t disappoint; Entitled rain it was, in Emma’s words, in ‘homage to the great British weather’. The feature of this shoot was the classic Burberry Trench coat that we all know and love, so Emma asked me to create an autumn inspired bronze, copper, gold dream of a look to compliment. When asked to create this look, there’s only one place to turn…Charlotte Tilbury! The look was super glossy, super blended and most of all super glam! Ive given a step by step run down of this look on my coloum which can be found at “Love it! Rock it! Own it!” on www.emmaheaven.com as well as a list of the amazing Charlotte Tilbury products we used…and a few little tips that may just rock the boat from the ‘old school’ ways. Definitely worth a read!
We have so much fun at each shoot…it’s silly to call it work really! Emma’s husband Adrian is always on hand to not only take these amazing images but to put a beer in my hand the second I walk through the door (he’s a good egg!)…and don’t worry, I don’t always drink beer on the job! I’m lucky enough to call this lovely lot my friends…so they make an exception. We have music on, lush food (in fact we had hot sausage rolls, because I don’t like cold food. Now that’s attention to detail…thanks Ad!) and always manage to have a giggle!
Another of my favourite parts of each months issue (and also the most nerve racking hoping he’s got my good side) are the videos produced by the insanely talented Rhys Warlow! He films, edits and does whatever else you need to do to make these little films as fab as they are! It gives a great insight into the process and what we all get up to each shoot! So enjoy…read away…and thank me later for introducing you to the amazing…
